My pocket protector is better than yours

Have I mentioned how incredibly anal-retentive I am sometimes? That I have created a spreadsheet for NCLM so that I can keep up with my commenting tally each day? Complete with color coding for new favorites, old favorites, people I know in real life, etc? I was born to be someone’s executive assistant.

I have so far resisted the siren call of organizing my NCLM reading/commenting. Don't put any ideas in my head!

Well I need an assistant cause I suck and cant keep track of how many comments i have left - the only way i know which blogs i have been to is because the link changes color. what the hey! i can never hope to hit all of them anyway - so a commenting i will go.

I have a spreadsheet too. I love that all the links are there in Excel, so I can just click through from the spreadsheet.

I hadn't thought of color-coding though--just dating when I comment and adding notes as needed.

I am loving all the comments, that's for sure!

I thought of this too but then I would not be able to be an Iron commenter! I have a few more blogs to go!!!

Oh. Dear. Heavens. Spreadsheets never even crossed my mind. And I am a LIBRARIAN! Impressive.

haha! Spreadsheet. I was thinking of posting each day which blogs I NaComLeavMo'd, but that would require more energy than I can give. So what's your rate? I soooo need an EA.

That is hysterical!
O to be so organized!

I guess that works better than my method: As I leave each comment, I count out loud, so I'll remember how many I have posted.

You're number TWO today!

My friend Laura made a spreadsheet and I conned her, er begged her, into e-mailing me a copy. It is alphabetized and so so lovely. I feel productive when I can just tackle one letter at a time...but the color coding? sweet gawd.
I'm impressed!

I can't poke fun because I really think it is a good idea! After the first week, I am starting to think I should have been more organized.

ooh, what a good idea! I'm trying to go by seeing whether the link has the "clicked" look.

Like the background song!

I heart you. We must be sisters. Had a spreadsheet from NCLM and was frustrated that it was only on my laptop at home. Uploaded it to Google docs for Week 2, so that I could track my commenting whenever I did it.

Haven't progressed to color coding yet, but am considering it, given your thoughts. :)

Speaking of NCLM--Hello!=)

That is way too cool--and you are my new best friend, because that is something I would love to do! Organization is my best friend :0)

Oh my. You put me to shame. I started out commenting at random places and now have forgotten most of where I have gone. I should have been smarter but it never crossed my mind to be organized about it. Sigh. Good for you.

I think all the NaComLeavMo-ers that use spreadsheets should post them on the last day!

Hi from another NCLMer however I didn't make the list as I was a day late and a dollar short...IF I did make the list...or better yet, when I DO make the list next time, I think a spread sheet is a good idea...I WAS trying to go in order of the existing list...and that didn't work because I started following threads...I would read a great comment and go to THAT site and it totally screwed me up! LOL

Anyway...Good luck with the spread sheet!!

Sharon
Its all good practice...

That's FUNNY! :)

I'm not doing as well with NCLM as I'd like, but I'm trying my best. I mean I'm reading enough and commenting enough, but I'm not doing a good job getting through the blog list.

We must be kindred's. Nerdy-Nerdy Kindred's. I too have the spreadsheet with the color coding and dating. LOL.
